With gas engines having less torque than diesel, I would choose the 4:10 for off the line power. I had an old Dodge that made me feel like I was flooring it from every stop. I switched to 4:10 gearing and could actually spin the oversized tires if I pushed too hard. 4:10 will always provide better low end power.
