I would like to get a scooter and mount it on the front of my Dodge 2500 TD. I have a lance camper and set up with a super hitch as I tow my boat also. My questions are I'm a big guy 6' 275, what scooter to get (Honda Reflex, Yamaha Majesty, Suzuki Burgman). How difficult is it to load and unload? What about the weight as most seem to weigh around 375 lbs? Will it interfere with headlights? Do I need to upgrade front suspension?

I've had a couple scooters, but much smaller than what you're looking at. I'm about the same size as you. Right now I have a Honda Spree scooter, and a Honda XR650L enduro bike. I find I take that I take the 650 with me the most. If I ONLY need to take the bike and nothing in my trailer, I haul it on the back rather than the front using my Superhitch and the same SuperTruss I use to haul the trailer with just your standard hitch bike rack. I put extra tethers on it and strap it to the camper jacks to prevent the bike bouncing around.I've never wanted to haul it in the front for a couple reasons--* All that road grim and bugs on the bike* Rock chips* Blocking the airflow into the radiatorSince my TC has a rear slide, my 650 prevents it from opening all the way, but I can still open it enough to get in the TC.Loading and unloading is easy since there's a ramp included with the bike rack.

We had a Kymco Super 125cc scooter and really liked it. I weigh 200 and it would cruise on the highway at 60mph. I carried it either on the back of my fiver's rack or on a front rack on my Dodge 2500. They make a 200cc scooter that weighs 275# which would fit on a front rack.Kymco is not a fly by night company. They are a world wide company and build high quality scooters at a reasonable price.

Most hitch carriers are rated for 500 lb. max.

They are a world wide company and build high quality scooters at a reasonable price.x-2 I bought a yamaha zuma for this same reason, The bigger models you mentioned are also longer and with the fairings would be much more prone to both blocking the radiator and the headlights, I'd also suggest you check height of the windshields on the suzi and the Yammy, they may block your vision when on the truck and I'm not sure they can withstand the side wind without breakage. I weigh about 240 and my little yammy gets me around fine and it only weighs 220 with a total length of about 75"

Loading and unloading is easy since there's a ramp included with the bike rack.
