While the Ram may be nice, I agree not enough payload. While it will easily tow and carry the fiver you are currently looking at, future larger will take you over the rated payload. While many tow heavy with diesel 250/2500's there is always that nagging fact in the back of your mind. I am not one to talk as currently towing/carrying well over rated payload, but am looking at stepping up to a newer DRW diesel.
The Chevy will have the payload, when you decide to step up to a larger 5er, you gas engine will run out of power quickly, hills will be an issue.
