Just drop down a gear, hills are not a problem for me. If the engine spins 4k and still pulls up the hills, then your not loosing power. I pull in Florida in 5th and lock out 6th gear. In Georgia and north, I pull in 4th. When steep grades hit, I hit 3rd and it has no issues. In the GM 6 speed both 5and 6 gears are both overdrives, 4th gear is direct. I’ve drop gears down even with diesels on hills as well. So really not an issue either way, just the nature of pulling hills.
There are no hills in Florida!
