For a 10k trailer I would go with the Gasser all day long. The 6.0 is as bullet proof as they come. I think the HP and TQ numbers for the big 3 gassers are way off. Watch some IKE gauntlet tests with these trucks. They are all very very close. Even with the lack of numbers the chevy usually pulls off the win.
For some reason, the 6.4L Hemi takes a dump on the IKE every time.
It must just be a certain set of parameters that activate that "mode"(?).
When I owned mine, I never experienced that in my mountain towing a 12k 37 foot 5er; nor does that de-powering or whatever you want to call it show up on any other test (Davis Dam, flat drag races, towing acceleration, etc.). In those other circumstances, the extra power and tq the 6.4L Hemi has shows up as a win in the tests.
In any case, as reliable as the Chevy 6.0L might be, it's in last place power wise, and in need of an update/replacement. 360hp and 380tq in a 2018 2500 or 3500 is pretty embarrassing when you think a 2003 5.7L Hemi made 345hp (15 less) and 375tq (5 less) a decade and a half ago. GM can do better, but has chosen to ignore their HD gas engine customers, and I believe they have likely lost sales because of that.
Oh, and here's all 3 as 2017 models on a chassis dyno where the Chevy shows it's anemic power output when compared to the competition.
