^ Unless you're going dually, you're not gaining much of anything going to a 1 ton srw from a 3/4 ton, save for peace of mind if it worries you.
Ha, just thought of RVnet this morning when I loaded a mostly empty 2500gal fuel cell onto a triple axle GN trailer hooked to a Ram 2500 with a big steel flatbed.
Was thinking " I wonder if the driver calculated the weight of him and his passenger (about 600lbs, the one dude was 4hundy easy), pin weight, weight distribution, the dynamic forces of 200 gal of fuel sloshing, rawr, gvwr, gcvwr?"
Then I realized I was in the real world. Guy slapped a couple chains over the tank and took off down the mountain.
