Ordering a truck will not typically get you the best price. You can get the best price buying off the lot. I just bought a new Dodge 3500 off the lot. I took an initial look and told the sales manager I did not have any interest in leather seats and a bunch of other luxury items. I marked items I was not interested in. The total was $4500. The manager took that off. Then the $2500 in dealer incentives and that is where we started our negotiations. BTW, I really do like lots of the luxury items. Ventilated seats really feel great in the heat. My wife likes the fancy leather seats with driver and passenger lumbar adjustments. My wife can now drive comfortably with the pedal height adjustment. The auto memory for seat, pedals and mirrors makes it easy to change drivers.
