Who says that we need cheap pickups?

If I were you, I'd get that 3500 Tradesman you want, and then have the adjustable pedals installed later by the dealer. The parts can be ordered, and it's not a particularly difficult change. I have always driven "very used" cars, and often add missing options through repeated trips to the local junkyard.
