I don't like spending money any more than most people and I keep reading comments that some people want cheap, simple pickups but the people actually putting their money down seem to have a different ...

Personally know lots of educators both friends and family members...know the real metrics and those who dismiss their plight are clueless...like an ex buddy who said: "they should move to where they can afford"....she is the first one complaining about the poor service and prices...and continues to be clueless...
Her god son's family got lucky in the locall affordable housing lottery...a 4 bedroom townhouse that is lower in price and very low interest loan. He is a sound engineer and she a teacher. Two kids and living in a apartment trying to save enough for a downpayment...losing ground and noodling moving to the Central Valley where housing is less...but he would be looking at a +2 hour commute...one way...
Heartless and cruel is the way I describe my ex-buddy...her husband is seriously thinking of leaving her...each time she complains about the rice of a meal or poor service because locally, service means an ESL person...an aruguement ensues between them...
