I was on an European trip with Canadians and US Citizens. What struck me is the extremely limited knowledge they had of Vehicles from outside NA.
When I said to a Canadian that some diesel trucks in Europe had well over 700hp. He said "What??"
I'm not surprised. But I bet the same lack of knowledge about North American vehicles would be true for the average Australian.
Most of the members that post on Tow Vehicles forum....are very knowledgeable about North American tow vehicles. But then many are truck enthusiasts about the trucks available on the North American market.
However as North America gets very few European and/or Euro spec trucks...we're not going to be knowledgeable about this subject.
In fact....and I'm sure you would agree with me, the great majority of people...no matter where they reside... are just not interested in details of the vehicles they drive.
As long as their vehicle starts, runs reliably, doesn't cost them much in maintenance....that's all that's important in a vehicle....to Joe Average.
