This December '13 small truck article might appropriate to this thread. It regards one rare old truck that is wanted. I look forward to the next issue and Part 2.
US Ford Ranger Diesel
I wasn't even aware that Ford had produced these small diesels stateside, in spite of the fact that they sold from 1983 to 1987 with two different diesel engines.
I just sold a 1994 Mazda B4000 4.0L 4x4 gasser (same as a Ranger), that I would have modified to cheat the weight police with, except it didn't have enough power to hold a safe towing speed on the interstate. Weighed in at about 4k pounds and only had 65k miles on it.
Talked to an old high school buddy the other day and he is severely disappointed that Ford discontinued gas Rangers since that is/was his favorite to check on his crews and jobsites.
