I have a 2012 Ecoboost which has now accumulated 36,000 trouble free miles. Over 5,000 of those miles have towed a 7,800 lb. 5th wheel. This truck pulls! It is amazing how little it will shift. A ton of torque in 6th at 1,700 r.p.m. We live in an area that doesent have big hills but some gentle rolling ones. When I tried out the F150 with the 5.0 liter it was constantly shifting out of 6th to pull a hill and this was empty. The Ecoboost will climb a pretty good hill before it needs to shift out of 6th. So for me it was getting rid of the constant shifting that helped me decide. I used to own a 2002 Chevrolet with a Duramax and my F150 with the Ecoboost reminds me of that truck. Man, does it pull!
