Why a Truck camper? The best mobility you can get!

In my opinion, they are the greatest compact way of using a truck to use as an RV. You can maneuver around streets and when out in the open or even in a forest, you get into places most RV's can't. Now the beauty of it all is most are a hard side. I'm not privy to pop ups, heck no unless real extreme 4x4 is required. Either way, the amenities like a flushing potty and genny power when in hard to get to places is awesome!... share some hard to get to places with your truck and TC.

  • WOW... it is all I can say.....no words can describe the places on this planet earth you can go to, but the pictures are worth a billion.... This is my point, you get to go anywhere your truck can fit....no other RV can do it with the space we have... and detach away if you had to...NASA should be talking to us....you want to go to MARS...? to camp out..lol!

  • Just a few feet farther --

    No other tracks

My kind of road -- or not road.

And don't need no stinkin' generator.
  • Miles from the nearest gravel road. DW wasn't enjoying the view!

  • I like the off road mobility

  • No doubt it is the most versatile RV... even more so than a 4WD class B or Earthroamer in my opinion. Earthroamers while not only expensive are still somewhat large and it and the B are not dis-mountable. TC are not for everyone, but for my lifestyle and region it is the perfect one!

Doesn't look like much, but no trailer or class C would ever get here:

I can count the only time I ever dismounted in the field on one finger. This was a few years ago scouting out a possible hunting area. Very few RV's can get here and even fewer could go on the forest road we wanted to search. No way would the truck and camper both make it, so we took the TC part out of the equation and headed higher. Even though I rarely take it of, the fact that it can just adds to the versability

    This kinda' says it all:
  • I have been to many more off the beaten path campsites with my first camper (popup). This was outside Page, Arizona in the Vermillion Cliffs area with my first hardside, a pretty decent off road hard side camper. My latest hard side camper has only been to the sand dunes, Cinders OHV area and different forest service roads in the Southwest. See GpnAZ travel photos for my travel pics, thanks for looking.

  • everywhere we go is hard to get to.trade my 360 degree view for a hardside? not a chance.
