Why are Truck Campers so poorly made?
So I bought a new hard side truck camper recently. I'm not going to say which. Before that I had a pop-up, so this is my second camper. I looked at a half dozen more campers before my purchase, but...

Sad...but true...and like other brands that exist only to satisfy share-holders...the quality of AirStream is not the same any more either.
I think the fact that many TC Mfrs are SMALLER companies is a good thing.
Smaller companies are more likely to be innovative...and ensure continuity. They (usualy) exist because they have pride in their workmanship and they have personal ownership of what goes out their door.
I am not sying their isn't room for improvement-there always is-but I have found the level of workmanship in TC's to be a cut above other types of RV's we have owned.
Maybe that is why they are so $/ft! (Although the AS aint' cheap either)
