I need the Frame and skin from a livingLite and I could go in and run LED's everywhere and plumb it out and Then blow the inside with closed cell spray foam and finish it out to my Taste. Solid aluminum exterior and frame and walls. And you could have a 18 foot TC that weighed in around 2200# pounds, And it would never ever leak! Or rot, or get rat chewed. Closed cell spray in foam is also a vapor barrier that sticks to anything and swells out to cover wiring pipes and all, so it wouldn't sweat on the inside of walls either.
My family is the original owner of my 1969 Avion C-11 camper. I grew up camping in it and they were some of the best built campers in the 1960s. When I rebuilt it, I was appalled at the poor craftsmanship throughout much of it. I have pictures to document the issues. There was bad craftsmanship even though the design, material and appliances were top notch. It is like new again and will probably last another 50 years.
I wish that Airstream would sell a camper with just the shell with the bottom built like a LivinLite and let the consumer put the interior in.
