I don't currently own one But when I buy new It will definitely be solid aluminum frame/ skin, cabinets and all.
Does anyone else drive around thinking about designing a really well made RV ?
I didn't quote any $ Desertboy. Our Snowbird "Off Road" is part way there - it is made with real plywood and oak with decent appliances - but what stands out is the workmanship where wiring and plumbing is run and supported neatly where you can't see it, and how the upholstery is finished and the caulking... like someone cared for what they built. In the paperwork was an "enjoy your new Snowbird" paper with the signature of all the factory people that worked on it.
Snowbird/Snowriver - Mr. Bob Meher passes away in 2013.
But back to your design - will it have proper high fuel efficiency radiant heating and a heat recovery ventilator to control humidity? And tracking solar panels? And a properly insulated floor? And stairs you don't fall off? And a water treatment system?
Yea sorry about that Fargo you didn't quote a Price, I had you mixed up with the Original Poster. But I do believe the New Aluminum Camper Im looking at is fully loaded with everything I could want if you were asking me, And its overall length is 18 feet, weighing in at under 2300 pounds. Not a splinter of wood in them. I think they are going to be the Airstream of TC. Definitely made to be passed down through generations. All this for around 20 grand. For me its a no brainer. But everybody has their own likes man. Its all what people want, Everyone has an opinion, and I was responding to the original poster. Ive never seen a TC that I would pay 40 grand for! Ive never seen a 5th wheel I would pay 40 grand for.
