I have an 02 lance 1010, before that i had a 4wheel pop up. the lance i have now has wood framing and some rot. My 4wheel that i had for a long time had the aluminum frame, but thru use it cracked and broke and had to be repaired, as did the canvas material on the pop up portion. i agree with a lot being said here but also realize, when you use things sometimes they break. I have built two houses, some off road vehicles and a couple hot rods. Wether its my craftmanship or not:), something always goes south at some point. I also think that this forum is a great resource to gain info from other peoples experiences. The next camper i get is going to have the easy button on it.
