I heard of HOST campers only recently. They must be good because I believe the Australian Co. EarthRoamer is going to use them to manufacture their campers for the US market.
Perhaps a regular TC just won't work for my needs. And admittedly I haven't put mine through it's paces. I only noticed some small finishing details that were amiss and then thought to myself, wow if they miss little things like that, I wonder what the frame is like. And so I'm reluctant to even take mine off road. It's possible they don't have the best finishing carpenters and put their best people on ensuring the structure is sound.
In either case, I just think for the price you pay, TCs should be using much higher quality materials. I mean there's no motor, so seriously, how expensive can it be to build a structurally sound waterproof box with some basic plumbing and electrical and a few appliances?
I'm also going to look at EarthCruisers as well. I'm hoping TCs built to be taken off road or on expeditions will be built to much higher standards.
