I'm also going to look at EarthCruisers as well. I'm hoping TCs built to be taken off road or on expeditions will be built to much higher standards.
If a person has $100,000 to $200,000 to spend on a TC, why would they purchase a low cost poorly built TC and then complain about it?
Each time I unload my Lance 1050S I look in the bed of my truck for loose screws. I have found several of the 1/4" long screws they used to hold the bottom cover in place.
One of these days when I have the time, I am going to take each out, add a dab of glue and put back. I have already done a few.
It is irritating, but the sky hasn't fallen, and I am not ranting about Lance's poor quality.
NHTSA issues recalls for serious defects that can result in injury or death for automobiles, etc. There have been recalls for items in TCs (refrigerator, battery isolator, microwave, etc.) but not for suspect workmanship that I am aware of.
If we contact the builders and share with them our experiences, they typically make adjustments to their building processes. I have received feedback from Lance for feedback given. How about you? Or, are you satisfied with saying "all TCs are a POS!"? Just my thoughts.
