Why are Truck Campers so poorly made?

Im absolutely positive some of these other brands are built better than mine, No doubt in my mind. I wouldn't care what color anything is though long as it lasts a long time like a Airstream. When I go camping its to get away from modern society, This is just me but personally Im really old fashion. Im only 43 but if I could go back to the year 1969 when I was born I would do it in a flash. My personal Favorites are the 1968/ 69 Avion in TC's, And the Airstream in TT's. I read a entire article last night on the beginning of airstream and what they were made out of. I cant speak for any other Camper but my own really because the only knowledge I have of them are the pictures and problems people discuss on this forum. I don't know how much $$$ the manufacturers make, But I do know its hard to run a small Business because we have a Convenient store here in Okla, And the wife is a Forensic Accountant. So I know all about number crunching and taxes and Overhead, Its a nightmare for sure. I don't envy them for a second. Well its been nice reading all the posts this morning, Happy Camping Folks.
