That’s insane. Where is this mythical crew cab dually pickup powered by a gas V6? For that matter, where is any pickup truck above an F150 with a V6 gas engine? There isn’t a pickup available with a V6 engine that is capable of hauling a 5000+ lb TC.
There are none because the truck camper market is such a tiny percentage of the 3/4 & 1 ton market, that the manufacturers aren't interested in producing one.
Modern NA V6 engines happily put out HP equal to what big block V8's put out 20-30yr ago. And with 6-10speed transmissions, they can utilize that HP...so that is all they really need. It's just that th base gas engine gives you more power...supporting the idea that diesel makes little sense if a truck camper is the limit of what you use the truck for.
