There is no obvious winner between a gas and diesel engine. Each one performs better in certain areas; it all comes down to how the truck is going to be used and what the owner prefers...
I have a history with diesel engines from pickup to semi engines..I also have a couple 8K Kenworth jackets and a few 4-6K hats for repairs..But that was for semi engines and Kenworths gratitude for my business..(Laughing)
I also had my muscle cars and there expenses and power..Imagine the sound and looks pulling up to the stop sign in your pumped DRW with a lopy cam and giving it a rev or two...
Both those days are long gone for me..I can replace my 460 with a new long block(less than 2K) for less than my friend replaced his clutch in his diesel ford and the old 460 just gets 'er done and why Ford kept it for 30 some years..More than enough power with the TC and trailer..
