My response: Nothing spectacular.
Define "spectacular" ?
I have lot of seasonal equipment like power washer, compactor, used to have lawnmowers and the only way to avoid problems with carburetors was running them dry before storage.
The boat come with no valve for it, so I had to add 1.
Still when fuel was good for next season, on several occasions when it was more than a season, I had issues.
2-years gasoline in boat would still run 5l engine, but smoked to the degree that it left soot on the boat side.
Just last summer my Honda 3000 was running very rough under small load to the degree that I had to push choke to prevent dying.
Add like 30% of new gas, then seafoam to no help. Only after running the old gas dry and refiling with new - all come to normal.
With diesels I was restarting several of them on old fuel, where Caterpillar parked under the tree for 7 years was extreme. All it took was fresh batteries and it run like a charm.
