Did some research, a 1974 F100 had a GVWR from 4,600 to 5,500 lbs making it a class 1 vehicle like today's mid-size trucks.
In that same year, an F250 had a GVWR from 6,200 to 8,100 lbs which would make it a class 2A truck in today's terms. This is like the "half tons" today.
The F350 had a GVWR from 8,350 to 10,000 lbs making some a class 2A truck and others a class 2B trucks. Class 2B is what you would call a "3/4 ton" today.
