I see no real issue with the current naming convention since it's really more of a generalization as to category of truck and allows for a wider range of GVWR offering for the same model/line of truck.

I don't understand why you guys keep talking about the manufacturers renaming their trucks. I never said anything about the manufacturers renaming their trucks. I was only talking about the out of date and no longer correct terms we, the consumer, have been using that have not applied to trucks for half a century, and the incorrect way some categorize trucks.
