It has fairly good articles but the last test they did not drive the trucks nearly far enough to get good mpg readings. Ironically, this was the main point of the tests. That test was done in conjunction with several other internet testers that should share the blame. They only drove 120 miles and then filled the trucks from a pump which is not very precise for that small of amount of fuel, especially the diesel Ram which foamed badly. Also, the test loop seems to have been mostly highway. This yeilded the strange result of loaded trucks getting better milage than the same trucks without a load. It also took away one of the F150's advantages which was turning off the engine at stops to save fuel. However, they had already defeated this feature in the interest of "fairness" which no-one else seems to understand. Again, all of the testers should share the blame for this. These testers were:
Bruce Smith — A longtime automotive magazine editor, Smith is skilled in the art of towing, four-wheeling, and wide-mouth bass and walleye fishing.
Kent Sundling — Known to the world as Mr. Truck, if it has a trailer or pickup bed, it's likely Sundling has driven it over the Rocky Mountains.
Mark Williams — A veteran automotive journalist and editor of PickupTrucks.com, Williams sometimes wakes up at night with new comparison test ideas.
Brian Wong — One of the newest additions to the Cars.com editorial staff, Wong is a longtime Mazda MX-5 Miata fan; he came to this test without any biases.
If you want to criticize one you need to criticize them all as it was a group effort.
My main complaint with the site is the trolls that have taken over the comment section, but reading that part is optional.
