That is funny -- turn off a feature designed to improve gas mileage that others could have developed, but did not. They should also keep the Rams out of 7th and 8th gears in that case, since the others only saw fit to put 6 gears in their trucks! Or even turn off the turbos on the ecoboost, since, you know, none of the other trucks have one.
That said, I have usually liked their truck shootouts. But I don't get how they can't seem to understand that the 3.5 Ecoboost competes with the V8 engines in the other platforms -- that is what Ford intended -- and not the base model V6's.
