When I bought my 1972 camper, it had already installed a aftermarket spark ignighter for the refrigerator powered by a 9 volt battery. So once you turn on the refrigeraor, you would turn on this aftermarket circuit board, and then it would spark anytime there is no flame senced by the circuit board.
This type of spark ignighter is still available. I bought a 120 volt version for about $35 to put on a direct vent furnace, in a Lake Tahoe cabin. The pilot would blow out, and then the room would freeze, damaging the piping in that room. The heater used a PG9 pilot generator, not a normal gas valve, but more like a wall furnace that does not normally use 120 volt power.
With a 9 volt or 12 volt spark ignighter, you would install a switch convient to the oven area, then turn it on when you wanted to use the oven, and off when you did not. It would keep sparking all the time the pilot is not lit, so you would want to turn it off when the oven control is in the pilot off position.
Why not have a electric pilot built into the MagicChef Stoves? Ask them. I guess if one manufacture started producing them, and all RV manufactures stopped buying all other brands of ovens except the ones with self ignition, then all RV oven manufactures would build a oven with self ignition.
Good Luck!
