I have found the igniters on the propane stoves don't work very well when you are on the road. I put them on my 30,000 btu Camp Chef stove and the element will move because of vibration which moves it from it's ideal ignition location. I thought about doing this mod, but after seeing the problem with my outside stove I decided that a simple barbeque lighter is easier.
Besides, I want to make sure the oven door is open when I ignite the pilot light. Imagine what would happen if your igniter doesn't ignite immediately, and then the oven is fairly full of LP gas and it finally ignites. I think I'll stick with the open door and flame igniter.
