Why so many Ford trucks

I and my Wife were at a horse show Sunday and I noticed a lot of Ford trucks pulling trailers . I saw one Dodge And one old Chevy gasser.A couple were 450's and 550's the rest 350's and 250's. It just seemed odd to me.

  • Because they are great trucks. I have never owned a better truck than what I have right now and a I have owned all 3 in the past.
  • Well I am a life long ford owner. Dad a Ford Retiree. Currently own a 99 F550 with Pick up bed and 94 Lightning.
240K miles later I have yet to find anything I don't like with the F550. Well maybe the cost of the 19.5 245 70 commercial tires.

I think part of the reason you see so many is they didn't take any Govt money. Lots of folks decided to give them a shot and liked what they saw.
Also you will find thru 2003 these trucks came with the 7.3 powerstroke. Bullet proof 500,000 mile motor.

Lets not talk about the 6.0 and 6.4's :S
  • Maybe because the are the best selling brand?

In our winter park, you only see Dodges.
  • Why is that a problem? Money earned and money spent but I understand your question and the reason for asking. I don't understand either but some areas have great dealers for good service and a good reason .
