Why Truck Camper need a air bag? Do I really need it?

I have a 2016 RAM 3500. According to the sticker its payload is 5600 lbs. I am getting a truck camper tomorrow, the dealer told me I need to pay $2200 extra for the stuff hook the camper on the pi...

Personally would not want air bags anymore. I added upper Torklift stable loads on my ram which helped a lot with squat. Might add a swaybar. TC is over 4000 wet.
