Lots of experienced knowledge here but even new folks have a opinion.
I would first load the rv on the truck with all the gear and go for a ride....then determine if their needed before forking out the bucks.
Air bags can level the truck front to rear and side to side after loading.
I've found air bags can eliminate side sway and can cause more sway....all depending the the trucks size and wheelbase/etc and camper weight/length.
