Why Truck Camper need a air bag? Do I really need it?

I have a 2016 RAM 3500. According to the sticker its payload is 5600 lbs. I am getting a truck camper tomorrow, the dealer told me I need to pay $2200 extra for the stuff hook the camper on the pi...

I don't think you "have" to have airbags, but I like them for a more plush ride especially if you will carry a higher load like with full tanks or towing. What modifications add up to $2200? BTW, don't forget to leave the tailgate at home!
