Why Truck Camper need a air bag? Do I really need it?

I have a 2016 RAM 3500. According to the sticker its payload is 5600 lbs. I am getting a truck camper tomorrow, the dealer told me I need to pay $2200 extra for the stuff hook the camper on the pi...

I think that's it, I will have a truck camper soon.

Originally I was going to buy a travel trailer. But seems it can't go much off-roads. Hopefully I made the right choice.
