HDT/MDT is off the table for a couple of reasons:
- step in height. We are already struggling to get into a stock height 3500 (with factory steps). Every MDT I've seen is in another atmosphere all together.
- a pickup is hard enough to maneuver through the urban jungle; fighting traffic and finding parking for one of those monsters is not something I care to discover.
- If we need to run errands, all we have is the cab space in the MDT; I'll have a full 8' covered trunk with the truck.
- higher insurance. This one is a guess.
- maintenance costs.
- the new Ford and Ram have MDT levels of capability.
Please, I am only interested in responses from any current 3500 owners.
