I'm starting my research to purchase another TV; it will be a 350/3500 dually 4x4 and a KR, LH or High Country. Prices range from $65k-$70k. Needless to say, the decision is not that easy.
The plan is to keep our fiver for now, eventually upgrading to a true FT rig (DRV, New Horizons) and those can get heavy (though we will be looking at more moderate sizes and weights, around 36', 16 -17k loaded). My current truck is not nearly capeable, nor comfortable, enough for FT pullling.
With all the choices, what do yoy have why did you choose it? The only truck I have yet to look at is the 15' Ford.
I looked at all of the big three after doing a ton of research on line. I felt they were all pretty even. Then I drove all three. My F350 won that contest hands down for me.
Since I purchased mine in the second year of the new 6.7 diesel coming out, that was actually a negative for me. I did some more checking on the different Ford forums and diesel forums and decided that the 2012 motor was fine.
My F350 XLT CC 4x4 has just over 47,000 miles, most of which has been towing, and it has been great.
But as you asked, the reason I picked it was because after doing a lot of research and looking I decided it would do the job I needed it to do. After driving all of them I felt I would be more comfortable in the F350 than any of the others.
