I was all set to buy a new Ram 3500. This would have been my third. Made the mistake of driving the F-450 and the 350. I chose the F-450. Why?
First, the turning radius. The thing turns like my Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Second, the seat of the pants feel. it just felt more comfortable across the powerband.
Third, 19.5s (and other 450 upgrades). Always wanted them and now happy to have them.
Fourth, silence. The Ford was a lot quieter than the Ram.
Fifth, the wife liked it best! She, like me, had no interest in looking at Ford.
HP/Torque, tow capacity etc didn't really factor in since all 3 are so close in those areas.
I'm not a Ford fanboy. I still like the Ram and believe it's a very capable truck. But I had to spend my money so I had to chose the one I, and the wife, liked best!
