Our homebase is in Aguanga and we are usually there every four or five weeks for a week or two. If you are ever down that way I'll gladly let you test drive my 2015 F-450 (if you promise not to smash it lol). As of a few weeks ago there were only 4 or 5 450s in Southern CA with Norco being closest. We got lucky and were in Chino when we started shopping so I was able to drive both the 350 and 450 as well as the Ram. The 450 was worth the 5% premium I paid over the 350. You may have a totally different opinion and may even hate it which I am 100% man enough to accept.
BTW, if you haven't done so and have a chance, check out the upfitted 5500 on the Temecula RAM dealers lot. That's the truck that got me started looking into replacing my 05 dually. Way more than I needed but a beautiful truck with a sticker price to go with it.
