All the arguments I have heard for a short box do not really apply to the mega.
Actually the Megacab is shorter than the crew cab with 8' box. I found this out when beginning to shop for a Ram because the crew cab long box was 1" too long to fit into my garage. The Megacab is exactly the same length as my F-350 Supercab long box was and fits in no problem. I would have preferred the 8' box but did not want my truck sitting outside so had to make the compromise.
I now actually like the Megacab dually because it is quite rare in this area!
Yeah it's approx 8" shorter, which is why I said don't really apply... It's longer than your average SB pickup.
The MC has the same wheelbase as my QC LB, which is 20" longer than the SB version.
