I got a 2014 F150 w/ Max Tow and HD pkg.
I wanted to upgrade from my 2005 F150 5.4L pickup. It was the 7200 GVWR & only had a cargo capacity of 1400+ pounds.
New diesel pickups were too expensive for my taste and wallet.
So I turned my attention to the ecoboost. Since it's turbocharged, it shouldn't lose that much power in the western mountains.
I also knew any new pickup had to have the HD package. (any new pickup would be a Ford since I can get A-Plan prices)
I went to the dealer, told the sales guy what I wanted. Obviously, he didn't have any HD trucks but he found 4 up in PA at different dealers. Unfortunately there no Supercrews available, only Supercabs. So now I have a Supercab with 8ft box, 4x4, and 2200# payload truck.
