all I was saying is MPPT is still expensive, and for the upgrade cost to switch to MPPT you can probably buy an additional panel. 200w with PMW does 11.38A. But if you can afford MPPT, 200w panels can charge 14 amps :)
but I do understand about real estate and small roof space.
my actual findings do agree with your math. Here is my TM-230-RV showing my 200w solar current after watching 12V TV for around 2 hours at night along with many LED lights and some Fantastic Fan on lower settings.
