Well I did go to 3 thrift stores, Gander mountain, and the local hardware to find some snow shoes. But I supose S. Georgia is to far south.

I've had good success on the roof kneeling and walking on 2 foot wide strips of the hard pink foam insulation boards from home depo. Lighter and cheaper than plywood and still distributes you weight considerably. Another benefit was that it is just about impossible to damage your roof while positioning the boards

I have an 04 Pioneer, which was also a Fleetwood product often manufactured on the same line. Mine also says not to walk on the roof. The first few times I did use a piece of plywood. Since then, I just don't stand, I crawl. I can spread my weight out adequately and really have no reason to walk up there. Under the rubber, it's plywood on 16" joists/rafters(?). Maybe it's only 1/4" plywood.

If you do use a piece of plywood, make sure you sand and round the edges and the 4 corners first.

You could put a splinter through the roof if its EPDM sheet. Or
dropping the plywood one corner first onto the roof could also put a gash in it. Smoothing edges and corners will prevent this.

When I was restoring my Starcraft with aluminum roof, I discovered it was not built well enough to walk on without some type of added support. I used pieces of plywood and extruded foam to walk and kneel on.
The first few years, I got on a ladder and removed snow with a roof rake. Last year, I did nothing. The roof is still OK but if we get a wet snowfall or the snow builds up to around a foot or so, I'll break out the roof rake and remove the snow. It only takes less than an hour to do a fairly good job.
FWIW, I added two small wheels onto my roof rake blade. This allows me to push and pull snow off the surface without worrying about the blade doing any damage.

I walk on my 05 Terry all the time with no problems and I'm at 240lbs. But if you feel better about putting some plywood down then do it, it can't hurt.

Take the time to put plywood on the roof. You're going up to caulk and reseal the roof.

Don't turn a simple project into a major repair and/or injury.
Sometimes it pays to read and follow the instructions. :S
