Dear Art Schlangen
If you return to the original post and his email to me you'll see that the writer has made up his mind the direction he's going. I responded only because he contacted me... I have nothing to gain, nothing to prove.
You seem intent on promoting the Air Tabs... even though you installed them without knowing if they function as described by the sellers. You mentioned data... how was it developed... how did you come up with your percentages even if for your 300 mile trial run?
As Reddog1 pointed out and many of us have witnessed... the Air Tabs haven't had a recognized positive impact on TC's... or maybe anything else. They do create turbulance... inducing drag, a bad thing.
A question for anyone that is considering using them... "IF... they function as advertized why doesn't every commercial truck and trailer in the world have them?" if trucking companys can save a penny per mile they would gain millions of dollars per year.
Oak Ridge NationaL Labatory developed the fairing that is now becoming common in front of the rear axels and wheels under the big cargo trailers... we all see them on the interstates... they work.. they reduce drag... they save money. (I had nothing to do with them and nothing to gain by mentioning them either)
Apparently the air tabs wouldn't save a penny per mile... if they are as inexpensive as you say and as good as you infer manufactures would be molding them into bus and train bodies... and every long haul vehicle in the world would have them.
respectfully yours
Sleepy
PS... if it weren't for getting off subject I'd suggest that someone work on fairings for under our trucks and other RV's
