I do it all the time when it is super hot out.Makes a huge difference coupled with the 13.5 btu unit in 95+ degree heat in a 30ft trailer.I put it in the bedroom window when needed..I also use it with my Honda 2k when it is just very warm outside to cool it some.
Mine is just a 5K BTU window air conditioner bought for less than $100 on special.Well worth it in my opinion.
