I have a window shaker in my tent camper. It gets temps low enough to hang meat. I am going to install a 5K BTU unit in my TT. That will be permanently mounted, not in a window. With the extra insulation I have in the TT, the 5K BTU unit should cool everything well. Some newer 410a coolant units use very little power. It is possible to get a few hours of cooling with inverted battery power assisted with solar. Before I add more solar, I'll be using the A/C with a cord to the grid.
