Winner, Winner...pig dinner.

This was our third year competing in a local BBQ contest...we took first last year but didn't place this year..

Its a great time to load up the TC and show it to all the locals that have never been in one. It also our home base.

You can also see I finally got to use the regulator free grill with the quick connect on the Lance and it worked great..

Sorry Flickr decided to change its format around...

I disagree. It is fair to say each of us have our preferences. When you won, it was due to the fact you had the best BBQ in the contest as judged by judges from off the street folks.

My thought is that out of 17 teams, what place was your food tasted...was it first or last?

Now peoples choice award went to a group that didn't place in the top 10. We were 2nd in peoples choice and 6th overall.

I would agree with you if this was a more professional contest with serious judges.

    It was a great time...

He must have posted a picture from around here :B
  • Its about luck really. The judges are off the street folks so you never know. We do it for the fun of it...its a great reason to stay up all night and drink beers with your buds cooking meat..

The Honda 2000 will run the AC and fridge when you run out of LP. We cooked up about 50 burgers on the Weber. Turns out I'm not good at determining how much fuel is left in the tanks.
  • Congrats for last year, and for competing this year.

Chili, my favorite food. It is quickly followed by Dry Rubbed Ribs, and they do not have to be Baby Backs.

  • Sorry to hear you didn't place this year. But once you've ascended to the top of the mountain there's no place to go but down. You just peaked too early. LOL! Actually, I won a local chili cook off a few years running and then all of a sudden I couldn't break the winners bracket either.
