When I had a full time site , most of the seasonals stored their units in an open field during the winter . Not one person stored a TT with jacks down.
I did not use them in case a tire went flat, plus the snow load on the roof . IMO, that would be a lot of weight on those jacks . (45 other seasonal TT owners felt the same way)
My 37' TT sat on its wheels with a load of snow on the roof for 11 winters in the central NY snowbelt with no issues and I never had a roof leak or a tire issue. I never re-caulked it during that time.
