I just blow out the water (with a compressor) and put anti-freeze only in the traps. This method allows for quick winterization/de-winterization for those mid-winter and spring trips. You do need to be cautious about getting as much of the water out as possible (i.e.; don't rush it and make multiple passes on each valve) but so far it has worked just fine for me.

Do you need to bypass the hot water heater if you use the compressed air method or just leave the plug in and have at it. Also, when do you run the water pump to make sure you get water out of those lines. tks
