Yes, it is possible. As far as I know, my old S&S only had a drain for the fresh tank, and not a "low point" drain of any sort.
But I will second the suggestion of trying to find your manual on Lance's website. That is one of the best things about Lance that they have all the old manuals online from what I understand. I have the original for mine and I haven't honestly looked at them on Lance's site, but they are there from what I understand. It'll tell you for sure.
