It depends also on when the equipment was installed. Years ago panels only had one ground bar for both neutral and ground wires. It was the only way to do it. The ground is basicly a back up to the neutral anyway. I wouldn't worry about it as long as the ground bar goes to ground somewhere, even if thats through the main panel.
